Policy & Disclaimers
Space Between Pages is happy to support authors and publishers to review and feature new, forthcoming and backlist titles. At this time, reviews are limited due to time constraints, but all titles will be considered for features (e.g., cover reveals, new release roundups, author interviews etc.).
Reviews on Space Between Pages will be written in long-form (800+ words), often featuring analysis and quotes from the book. Because of this, I cannot guarantee that they will be spoiler free. Abridged versions of reviews will be cross posted to Goodreads (with star rating) and Instagram once published and will be socialized on Twitter.
All book reviews will contain honest opinions and will reflect my personal preferences; I reserve the right to include any criticism I see fit, regarding both form and content. I recognize that even if I did not personally connect with a book, there are other readers out there who will. I do, however, aim to focus on the positive in reviews, even if I did not connect with a book.
ARC coverage, including book reviews, will ideally be published within two weeks of publication (time permitting) at the very least. I aim to publish and promote content as soon as possible, however.
Examples of my review and feature style can be seen here, or over at Paperback Paris, where I served as a contributing editor for five years.
Reading Preferences
I primarily review titles for the following audiences: middle grade, young adult & adult; and genres: fantasy, science fiction, romance. I am a strong advocate for LGBTQIA+ literature and consider myself a part of the queer/ace community.
That being said, I do accept other genres and enjoy graphic novels, contemporary fiction, historical fiction and literature in translation. I typically do not read poetry, memoir or mystery/thriller novels, but am welcome to pitches that may fall into cross-genre categories!
At this time, I accept most reading formats, but strongly prefer physical copies (advanced reader or finished). That being said, I do accept e-galleys via NetGalley or in .epub format. For electronic submissions, I request that you provide a finished copy closer to publication to cross-reference quotations taken for review, if possible.
Space Between Pages reserves the right to receive copies of pitched books without consideration for review or feature. I will always be forthcoming about coverage consideration and potential run dates for accepted pitches.
